Paying the balance

There's a feeling of liberation that comes with paying off a credit card bill. It doesn't matter if it's a single $20 charge. It still feels good. Of course, the $800 check I wrote today was for my Florida trip, and the paper paid for everything; I deposited the expense check last week. But for a few brief moments this afternoon, I sat and looked at my checkbook with the extra $800 in my account, and felt good. I don't normally put so much into having money. I look at it as I'd rather do stuff with friends than have it just sitting there. I have my 401(k) and my investments saving for the future. So why do I worry when I think my checking account is so low (and it's really not that bad)? I don't know.

I also had something else to write about, something amusing. I have no idea what it was. Stupid me. I'm lame.

Maybe I'll remember it on the way to work.
