... along Inwood and Aurora, learning the neighborhood and nearly stopping in my tracks by the neighbors' house two doors down and there they are -- freshly planted in the flowerbeds along the foundation, shades of lavender and violet with a scent so soft and welcoming I could've sat myself down there on the lawn and looked at nothing in particular, just absorbing the aroma of the spring outdoors.
