A short summary of another good day, since my browser crashed as I tried to submit the original (yet mediocre) entry earlier ...

� Spent two hours researching and three hours composing fun, interesting story on six Spanish-speaking ballplayers living with a family of seven for the summer.

� Had ego enlarged at work when they told me a) I got a raise, b) I'm a damn good reporter, c) the news department has tried to wrestle me away from sports, but sports won't have it.

� Had story moved from sports section to A1 centerpiece (you know, the front cover).

� Drove home with good music played loudly with all windows open.

� Got letter from IRS telling me they're giving me more money back. Know I have W to thank just a little, but also know it will come back to haunt me someday and it's only three years and four months until we have a new president.

� Ate pizza, watched Simpsons, then baseball.

� Also enjoyed this, which is really true, though I haven't experienced it all to this extent yet. But someday.
