This place just may be heaven.

I love how the mountains provide a backdrop to the city of Seattle. On clear days -- which we've had the past two -- you see the Cascades or Mt. Rainier rising in the distance, almost ghost-like through the haze. It can catch you off-guard when, after a day or two of overcast skies and nothing but the off-white backdrop beyond the trees, you look down the road and see the snow-capped peaks running jaggedly across the horizon.
