I hate lazy parents

This is ridiculous.

I'm in a bitter mood, so the little things are bothering me tonight, but I can't believe there are people who think that stopping a potential massacre at a high school in this day and age is "blowing it out of proportion." I'm sorry, but it's not normal for 17- and 15-year-olds to have plans to set bombs off in school, to talk of killing students who flee, and then committing suicide -- the cowards' way out -- when police arrive. I cannot understand the relationship between a parent and child, but to see one mother say, "My kids are good kids and this has really been blown out of proportion and you know, there's just no way anything like that would have happened," says to me that she's way out of touch with her son, not that she knows what he's "really" like.

Wake up, people. Be parents. Don't make the government or the television or the schools raise your kids. Don't fuck it up for the rest of us.

I need to go before I get really pissed.
