Rainy night near Boston

It poured yesterday -- virtually all day -- forcing an amendment to the proposed Boston pub crawl. We spent the night at Sean O'Toole's in Plymouth downing beers and listening to the Irish rock of the Larry Enright Band. At 1 a.m., Herbie picked us up and trucked us back in the van after we'd stood out on the road -- 11 lonely people on Plymouth main street in early morning.

Tired, it was a short night after that drive home and I was in bed shortly after getting there. -- And waking up this morning sore to 6:30 a.m. downpour.

Saturday had been a quiet day until that point, resting up from Julie's party the night before -- That was a good time, singing, dancing and eating with Mia, Julie, Julie, Jen, Bryan, Canavan, Tom, Brendan, John and his high school friends. Not to mention Mary Lou, Lynne and Bill. After the party and going back to Julie's, we stayed up until 3:30 talking, eating burgers, and me shooting pictures and watching TV with Mia -- And Brendan's jokes: "I'm a vampire, you can't take my picture," and "My mom is black," with Mia's confirmation, which fooled me for a moment because I hadn't thought of believing him until then.
