Dream 3/11/98

I had a vision -- a quasi-dream in half-awake Jalisco morning while the wind and sound of Pacific waves blew into my room, curtains billowing as if in some movie. It was Elvis crooning, "Take my hand, take my whole life too. 'Cause I can't help falling in love with you." Then I pictured a woman, a friend, swaying, dancing to the song in happy wedding day bliss. Her white dress elegantly hugging her, her new husband (boyfriend presently, this being a morning dream of some day not yet come) putting out his hand, she, with a sheepish, embarrassed-yet-ecstatic smile, takes it and moves to him, laying her head on his shoulder. He beams and it's clear they'll live a long, happy life in one another.
